Liya App Reviews

Simple and Convinient

Simple to use, just what I need to simply check or make some quick changes on SQLite files.

Do not support views

It’s a great app if you don’t have views on your database.

great app

Great app for viewing sqlite files, plus its free

What a gread Tool to manage all your Databases

The only tool for OSX (as far is I know) to manage SQLite, MySQL (MariaDB) and PostgreSQL, all with one App. The interface is yet a bit rough on the edges and I miss some keyboard shortcuts (like for Exporting the Database or deleting a Table). @Developer: Charge for it, I would definitely pay ~50$ maybe even more if the UI, icon and keyboard shortcuts would be on par with other great little OSX apps (say from Panic Inc. for example).

Still good, but lost important feature

I’m using Liya together with Xcode simulator to have a look in SQLite data. This worked fine with a minimum of input in previous version of Liya: entered db path out of Xcode log into Liya „Database URL“. Now this field is no more editable. This is a great disadvantage to me. Please open fields Database URL and Database Name for editing again.

semi-decent

the app works most of the time. however, it cannot delete or modify fields in SQLite (after hitting Save nothing happens). its good for viewing data and structure, but not great for proper DB management

Awesome!

Its very useful and free. Thank you!

Broken

The app has become broken, it has gotten itself into a state where it can no longer open databases, uninstalling and reinstalling has no effect. I dont recommend using this.

DevGuru

Very simple and efficient. Must have tool for developers.

Its basic, but does its job very well

And the greatest part of it is that its free, so you cant complain :).

I use this app for fast looking into SQLite DB

And it works just as i expect.

Ottima! Excellent!

Molto semplice e funzionale, fa il suo lavoro. Ma licona va cambiata! Very simple and functional, it does its job well . But you have to change the icon!

Unusable mess

Liya is a complete mess, with mystery meat buttons placed at random with random labels. I still havent figured out how to create a table or to insert a row, so I just gave up and searched for something usable. One of the worse UX failures Ive ever witnessed.

An Excellent Tool

Every Mac comes with MySQL nowadays, and this wonderful app lets you access the power of the database hiding on your machine. The very generous developer has provided the Mac community with it for free! Awesome. You can click your way to seeing data in existing databases in no time, just by following the onscreen hints, or you can create and run the hairiest SQL queries you write.

cannot open my sqlite

it crashed while I was trying to open my sqlite file

I really wanted this to work

I tryed to set it up with a mySQL database I have on a godaddy server…it gave me the spinning wheel of death over and over again. I hope the developer can fix this issue soon so that it begins to work as it should. This app has great potential!

Good, but needs polish

I just needed something to edit SQLite databases for iOS development and didnt want to pay money for a solution that had more features than I needed. This app fits the bill pretty well, but could use a but more polish. For example, the app needs to indicate to the user that a custom SQL query is invalid. Also, it would be nice to be able to double click a SQLite database in Finder to launch the app. You have to launch the app first, create a new connection, and then point it to the file. Other than these items, this is a no-frills SQLite viewer that does everything I need it to do.

Beautiful free application, works well

I just wanna view a sqlite3 databasa and then found this wonderful application, its beautiful and free. what is to be most important, it works well.

Quirky but functional

I needed this to be able to examine some SQLite databases in the iOS Simulator and it did the trick. Its definitely a tool built by and for programmers but heck its free so Im not going to complain.

It may be for others, but not for me

I just wanted to open a local .sqlite database, but it was a no-go.
